Cork GAA clubs join forces to raise funds for children’s cancer charity

Players at Aghabullogue GAA and Camogie club along with Newcestown GAA and Camogie club have joined forces to raise funds for a children’s cancer charity which is close to their hearts.

Several weeks ago a club officer in Aghabullogue GAA got a call from the senior players who wanted to organise a fundraiser in aid of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, a charity which provides vital support to children suffering from cancer in Ireland and their families.

On June 28, a number of players will take part in a marathon, taking place in relay format.

“The fundraiser is very close to our hearts.

“One of our own players his son has been going through treatment in Crumlin over the last couple of years.
This fundraiser is setup on the iDonate fundraising platform.
