Fashion Influencer Yvonne Melinn has raised over €7,000 on iDonate for the Irish Heart Foundation, with an online raffle that was organised as part of their Her Heart Matters campaign.

Yvonne, who goes by the handle @ystyleireland on Instagram, shared the giveaway for an Yves Saint Laurent luxury handbag with her 167k followers, to raise awareness of the campaign and raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation’s vital work.

With 1 in 4 women in Ireland dying from heart disease and stroke, Yvonne highlighted the message that this can be prevented by making healthier lifestyle choices. In her post on Instagram she shared ‘80% of premature deaths from heart disease and stroke can be prevented by making healthier lifestyle choices. Yet do we make time for our health?’  Life is busy but it’s important to mind ourselves and look after our hearts.’

Followers were asked to visit the raffle page on iDonate and make a minimum donation of €5 to the Irish Heart Foundation, to be in with a chance to win the coveted prize. They were then asked to comment and share the post, tagging the Irish Heart Foundation, to spread awareness of the campaign. The giveaway attracted a big reaction on Instagram with over €7000 raised in donations through the iDonate.ie raffle page.
