Ukraine Crisis – How You Can Help

There has been an outpouring of support across the world for the people of Ukraine and the desperate circumstances that they find themselves in. As the crisis continues, millions of people are being affected and the need for support becomes more and more urgent.
iDonate are committed to supporting the causes who are working on the ground to help those in need. Our strict verification process is in compliance with national regulations, ensuring that only legitimate, registered causes can fundraise on our platform. All donations are processed and stored securely before being transferred directly to the relevant causes.
iDonate fundraisers are also subject to verification and fundraising pages can only be set up in aid of a cause that is registered and verified on our platform. Donors are safe in the knowledge that their donations are going to trustworthy cause.

How can I help?
There are many ways that you can support the relief efforts and help those who have been forced to flee from their homes. See a list of options below.

1. Donate to the Appeal for Ukraine
iDonate have set up an appeal to support the Irish Red Cross with their relief efforts. All funds raised through this page will go directly to the Irish Red Cross to support those affected by the invasion of Ukraine. To donate to this appeal or create a personal fundraising page in aid of the appeal, visit here.

2. Donate to an existing fundraiser on iDonate
Many people, companies and organisations have set up fundraisers on iDonate in aid of a registered cause that they want to support. These various causes are all contributing to the Ukraine relief effort in different ways. If you would like to donate to an existing fundraiser, just view the list here and click on the page that you would like to support.

3. Set up a personal fundraising page in aid of a registered cause
If you are organising a bake sale, taking on a challenge or simply just want to create your own personal page for your chosen cause, then get started here. Once set up, you can edit your fundraising page to include a profile picture/logo, add a personal story or call to action, set your chosen fundraising target and more. You can share your page with others on social media and through text and email by clicking on the Share button. This button also allows you to generate a QR code that links to your personal page, which can be used on posters, leaflets, and other materials.

4. Organise a corporate fundraising campaign on iDonate for your workplace
Are your company or workplace interested in setting up a fundraising page to support the relief efforts in Ukraine? If so, our team can support by setting up a company event page for the campaign, which will allow employees to create team or individual pages connected to the event. We also offer a custom page service if you would like the page to be matched to your company branding. For more information on corporate pages, contact [email protected].

5. Set up an online raffle for your company school, club, or group in aid of the relief effort
iDonate provide a free online raffle creator tool which allows a raffle web page to be set up quickly and easily. This eliminates the need for physical tickets and cash handling – instead, supporters can simply click on a link and access tickets online by donating. If your cause, club, school, or group would like to set up a raffle in aid of the Ukraine relief effort, contact us today.

6. Share an existing fundraiser on social media
If you want to support an existing iDonate fundraiser, you can help by simply sharing the relevant fundraising page with others via social media, text, and email. This will help spread awareness of the fundraiser and may help to increase donations to the relevant cause. To share a fundraising page, just click on the page link and select the ‘Share’ button on the right. See the current list of verified fundraisers here.
