Virtual greenway cycle for alzheimer charities

NEWPORT native Peter Mylett is undertaking a virtual cycle on the Great Western Greenway in aid of Western Alzheimers and Alzheimers Research UK.

The cycle will be live on Facebook from the UK over five nights, with an hour each night clocking up 10 miles as Peter covers 50 miles from Louisburgh to Achill. The route will take in five local GAA clubs – Louisburgh, Westport, Kilmeena, Burrishoole and finally Achill. Peter will be wearing the jerseys of each club en route, with a different jersey featuring each night. The jerseys will be of footballers who have or are still playing for Mayo, be it underage or senior.

The cycle will take place from Monday, June 15, through to Saturday, June 20, at 6 p.m. each evening for one hour.
